~13 Years~13 years ago have gone by way too fast. Thanks to my family, we were able to sneak away to one of my favorite places for a long weekend. It may very well have been the most fun I've ever had. I love everything old. Brad loves good food. We both love cozy. Charleston made perfect sense. After we'd been home a few hours, Brad looked at me and said, "I miss you." Having time be all our own, emphasized how crazy our current real life is. We had hours in the car and on the way back I said, "You know, this trip has made me realize we are going to be just fine with the kids are gone. We will actually have a whole LOT of fun!" Not that it's not fun now, because I do love all the noise, laughter, fights, and hugs. It's just time and seasons....:) We laughed almost constantly. We did a little window shopping. There is no point even going in a Louis Vuitton store. So we just looked. I DID, however, go in a couple high end consignment stores where I saw a pair of Prada shoes for the bargain price of $599. There was no schedule. We ate at weird times. One day we took a 2:00 nap. We caught a 9:45 pm showing of Robinhood complete with popcorn and Coke. The seafood was amazing. The plantations were fascinating. The four and five hundred year old oaks were breath taking. | |
